Ok so It's been a very long year.

I have just finished my third year studying Mathematics at Royal Hollway, University of London! I have one more year to go, and at the end I will be Triangl, MSci.!!

Recently I applied for a research grant, awarded to undergraduates so they can experience the world of scientific research, and I got it! Hence my summer is going to be awesome, getting paid £190 a week to read maths books, think about maths, and if I'm very lucky, contribute (in an admittedly tiny way) to human knowledge.

It also means I should have plenty of free time on my hands, and I intend to use that time for creative things.

Firstly I'm going to comment more on here. I'm especially going to try to overcome my fear of commenting on prose and visual art.

Secondly I am going to work on a few writing projects I've been working on. I have a few story ideas I want to work on. I will possibly post them here chapter by chapter, or all at once at the end. Also I want to write and post a lot more poetry and song lyrics.

Thirdly writing music, particularly for my band, and getting a few gigs with that band, having regular jamming sessions with friends and all kinds of fun.

Lastly standup comedy. I tried it once and it went pretty well, though I say so myself. I am going to try and do loads of gigs this summer, since I am President-Elect of the comedy society at uni!

So yeah that's about it. Of course this could all go tits up, so to speak, and none of this could get done. But I've been a lot less lazy recently, and a lot more productive. So we'll see.

There's a hole in the world like a great black pit/ and it's filled with people who are filled with shit/ and the vermin of the world inhabit it- but not for long! They all deserve to die!

Might one suggest that a person who does not know the difference between the possessive "your" and the contraction "you're" - and who fails to put the apostrophe in making the word "that" when creating a possessive ("thats" [sic] vs. "that's"), is singularly unqualified to offer advanced critique on the English-language skills of another writer?

sorry it took me so long to respond to your... constructive post.

one might indeed.

i honestly cant remember if i commented on your work or if you are referring to that of another.

if you truly believe i do not know the difference between those things then youre even more of an idiot than your pitiful attempt at flowery speech makes you out to be.

at any rate, let me pose a question to you.

say you had written a poem, or any literature, and it had a glaring spelling error, or horrific grammar problems, or even if it was clumsy and difficult to read. and presumably you want to make this literature as good as possible. now if someone who had poor grammar spotted one of these mistakes, and someone with impeccable grammar spotted an equal mistake, what would you do?

based on your post you'd hunt down the former and be very rude to him, yet thank the latter graciously, both with pathetic "technical" language about literary devices.

basically would you reject a good idea based on who it came from? i would hope not.

Did I leave good honest critique? How about returning the favour... My gallery

No, because I would regard the "critic" as a hypocrite, as you are. Is that blunt enough for you?
